Chez Poirier

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where does your meat come from?

All our meats are sourced from trusted Quebec and Canadian farms that share our commitment to quality, freshness, and ethical practices.

2. Are your products fresh or frozen?

We ship only frozen products. All products are vacuum-sealed to preserve flavour, and texture.

3. How is my order packaged?

Your order is packed in insulated boxes with ice packs to maintain the ideal temperature for up to 48 hours.
We take great care to ensure your meat arrives cold and in perfect condition.

4. Which areas do you ship to?

We currently deliver across Quebec via Loomis-Express.
If you’re outside this province, please contact us to confirm if we can arrange a shipment.

5. When will my order ship?

Orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday to avoid weekend delays.
Orders placed after Wednesday 12 PM are shipped the following week.

6. How much does shipping cost?

Shipping fees are calculated automatically at checkout based on weight and destination.
We offer free shipping on orders of 300$ and plus.

7. How can I track my order?

You’ll receive a tracking number from Loomis-Express by email as soon as your order leaves our facility.
You can use it to follow your shipment in real time.

8. What if I’m not home when the package arrives?

Loomis-Express will leave the package at your door if it’s safe to do so.
We recommend planning deliveries for days when someone will be available to receive it, as meat products must stay cold.

9. What if my order arrives damaged or warm?

Contact us within 24 hours of delivery at info@chezpoirier.ca with photos of the box and contents. We'll review and resolve the issue promptly.

10. Can I pick up my order in person?

We only offer deliveries.

11. Do you offer wholesale or bulk orders?

Yes — we supply restaurants, local retailers, and families. Contact us for pricing and custom cuts.

12. How should I store my meat once it arrives?

Frozen products should be stored at -18 °C or lower.
